Why choose organic donkey milk

Main benefits of donkey milk

Nutritional richness:

Sweet-tasting, it has a composition that makes it very similar to breast milk. It is a favorite of those with cow's milk protein intolerance. A valuable source of vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, C, D and E, minerals such as iron, zinc, phosphorus, calcium, and magnesium, and fatty acids such as omega 3 and omega 6. Among the functional proteins found in donkey milk are lysozyme and lactoferrin, which support general health and the immune system. This is why it is used not only as a food but also in the composition of dietary supplements.

Ease of digestion:

Donkey milk contains protein and fat that are more easily digested, making it suitable even for those with digestive problems or allergies to cow's milk.

Skin benefits:

Donkey milk is a natural source of nutrients for the skin, thanks to its composition rich in fatty acids, proteins and vitamins A, B1, B2, C and E. It also contains lysozyme, a substance with antibacterial properties that helps protect the skin from infection.

Growth support:

Clinical studies conducted demonstrate the efficacy of donkey milk in the treatment of several disorders

Organic milk

BIOMILKEY: more than just milk

BIOMILKEY is our powdered, pasteurized and freeze-dried donkey milk.

It is a pure natural and organic product to which no ingredients are added.
In fact, it is without added sugar, no additives, no artificial flavors and no antibiotics.

It consists of a white powder with a pleasant milky odor, obtained from whole donkey milk by freeze-drying.

This non-invasive freeze-drying process , done in-house with Italian technology, does not alter the nutritional qualities of the milk powder because only about 90 percent of the water is removed from the fresh milk. This is done within 24 hours after milking and immediately vacuum-packed to maintain all its freshness.

BIOMILKEY is readily available to residents of Europe, the USA and various countries outside Europe.
It can be consumed year-round and has a minimum shelf life of 24 months at room temperature.

What is the difference between lactose in breast milk, donkey milk, and artificial formulas?

Lactose is one of the most important carbohydrates in breast milk.
Artificial formula manufacturers voluntarily add lactose into their formulas.
However, sometimes artificially breastfed babies have to switch to lactose-free formulas because they are unable to process this type of lactose.

So what happens in the body?
Is lactose friend or foe?

It turns out that lactose in breast milk and formula are two different isomers of lactose (they are formed by the same molecules but have a different spatial conformation).

The main source of carbohydrates in breast milk is beta-lactose (β-lactose).
Lactose makes up 80-90% of all sugars in breast milk and provides up to 40% of a baby’s energy needs.
Lactose in donkey milk, as well as in breast milk, is beta-lactose and in almost the same amounts.

Cow’s milk and, consequently, blends, on the other hand, contain alpha-lactose (α-lactose).

Unlike α-lactose, β-lactose in breast milk is absorbed more slowly in the small intestine and is broken down and absorbed in the lower parts of the small intestine, while α-lactose is in the upper part; this difference results in the different physiological response.

Hydrolysis of β-lactose in the small intestine leads to the formation of glucose and galactose.
Galactose is an integral part of galactolipids, which are essential for central nervous system (CNS) development.
In addition, galactose is part of galactosyl-containing cell receptors responsible for the work of intracellular enzymes.
Galactose is also a substrate for intestinal lactic acid bacteria.
